This morning, major stock indices are showing modest gains, reflecting cautious optimism after recent pullbacks. Wall Street’s fear gauge, the VIX, ticked higher early this morning, indicating some lingering volatility concerns. Gold prices edged up, while the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield rose slightly, even as bond yields generally declined with rising prices. The market environment reveals investors balancing concerns over stretched valuations in the tech sector alongside ongoing economic and geopolitical uncertainties.

The prior day saw U.S. indexes suffer their worst declines in weeks, eroding significant gains made earlier this year.

Bitcoin has rebounded nearly two percent after experiencing its worst day since the April “Liberation Day” market rout, briefly dipping below $100,000.
