Week 24 (June 9-June 15, 2025)
In alignment with the prevailing market consensus, our outlook anticipates that the Federal Reserve will implement two interest rate reductions once greater clarity emerges regarding the economic environment. Specifically, we expect these policy adjustments to occur after the temporary inflationary effects of recent tariff increases have subsided, resulting in a period characterized by slower economic growth and a moderation in inflationary pressures.
The next Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting is scheduled for June 17–18, 2025. This two-day meeting will culminate with the FOMC’s policy statement and interest rate decision, typically released at 2:00 p.m. EST on June 18.
This session is especially significant, as it will include a Summary of Economic Projections and is expected to address the current economic environment, including inflation trends and potential adjustments to monetary policy.
